The Ateneo Law Journal extends its condolences to the family of Atty. Ma. Carmel M. Baquilod. She was a member of the Journal's Board of Editors from A.Y. 2016-2018, having served as a member of the Executive Committee of Volume 63, and the Lead Editor for the "Gender and the Law" Issue of the same Volume.

Atty. Carmel joined our Lord last Friday, 10 February 2023. For anyone who wishes to visit her wake, they may do so at Sapphire Chapel, Loyola Memorial Park, Marikina City, starting today, 12 February 2023.

On 16 February 2023, there will be a special mass at 8:00 AM, to be immediately followed by the interment.

The Ateneo Law Journal encourages everyone to kindly continue praying for the eternal repose of Atty. Carmel’s soul.
